Defender - Allowed Items

Allowed items are risky programs that you want to run unblocked in Windows Defender. This goes back to what I wrote about concerning "just in case" you get a false positive.

Some security software, and diagnostic tools will give you a false positive when is comes to almost any security software. That is why this exception section is here.

If Defender gives you a warning about a piece of software. You can tell it to allow it or remove it. This is your decision. Of course you will have to do some intelligent research to where that specific software is safe for you to run on your computer.

Defender will give you a perceived threat level and recommendation. In addition to looking at Defenders recommendation, I would do a Google search. That way you can see what other people are saying about a specific program.
